I’m Martin and welcome to my site. I imagine you’re on the about me page to, well, find out more about me. As I write this, I’m 37 years old. I live in the greater Vancouver area (Burnaby to be exact) and yes, I like my rain. You may also be wondering how I got involved with Garcinia Cambogia. Funny you should ask…
When I was younger, I was a pretty skinny guy with awesome metabolism. I ate what I wanted and didn’t gain weight. I was living the dream. Sadly, during my late 20s that changed. I think I did pretty well since I believe most metabolisms slow down several years earlier. But still, the dream was now shattered. Being a creature of habit however, I didn’t go out of my way to change my diet. I do like my food. And so, with each passing year, I got a little heavier and heavier. I didn’t mind it that much, to be honest. Of course it wasn’t ideal, but the extra weight didn’t actually prevent me from doing anything I wanted to do.
Fast forward to a couple of years ago, and the extra weight not preventing me from doing anything was no longer the case. I was peaking around 220 lbs, which is not insignificant for someone who is 5’10”. My left knee started giving me some serious issues. It hurt a bit at first and got worse and worse with time. Eventually, it was at a point where I could not help but to visibly limp. That’s when I got concerned (because of course being a guy, the increasing pain up until that point wasn’t enough of a warning sign). I traced the knee problem back to two things: a snowboarding injury I suffered in my early 20s, and (of course) being a good 40 to 50 lbs overweight. Not keen on having knee surgery in my mid-30s, I finally decided it may not be a bad idea to address the weight issue.
Because of the knee, I wasn’t able to exercise. So I looked to the other obvious thing I could do, a diet change. I think I’m good at and can be disciplined about a lot of things. But keeping to a diet plan has never been one of them. Like I said, I like my food. Any help I could get was going to be welcomed with open arms. My then girlfriend and now wife was into Dr. Oz. This was around the time he introduced the western world to something called Garcinia Cambogia. “Sounds like what you need to help you along, at least until you can exercise” she said (or something along those lines). I did not disagree. I said I am not good at keeping to a diet plan, but something I am very good at (and enjoy) is researching and gathering information. I spent the next several weeks looking into anything and everything Garcinia Cambogia related that I could find (what I learned is ultimately what this site has been built on). After doing my research, I was satisfied that the supplement was safe to take. There seemed to also be enough other people getting decent results with it. I decided to jump on the bandwagon, and the rest, how they say, is history.
Fast forward again, this time to today. I have lost the weight I was looking to lose, I exercise, I eat well (not counting a cheat day or two, as is evident on the right), and my knee has never felt better. Nothing happened overnight of course. Sadly, that is just not possible. Garcinia Cambogia did get the ball rolling for me, and over time, everything started to snowball and fall into place. I am convinced this supplement was a huge part of my success and that without it, things would have either been a whole lot more difficult, and maybe even not achievable. Even though I am now happy with how much I weigh, I continue to use Garcinia as an appetite suppressant. It helps me make sure my weight stays where it is. After all, I still very much like my food.
So there you have it. A little long winded maybe, but that’s how I get here. So again, welcome to the site. Please poke around and if you have any questions, comments, or anything else you want to get off your chest related to this site or Garcinia Cambogia, let me know!
